Vancouver Toonie Tours is a Canadian Small Business founded by young, passionate, local entrepreneurs.

Toonie Tours is a concept created by 3 best friends in an effort to put our passions for history, tourism, entrepreneurialism, and community spirit into practice.  Logan, Joshua, and Nathan, pictured left to right above, created Vancouver Toonie Tours on the principles of trust, optimism, and the belief that something small can have a big impact.  For every $20 we collect on our Free Walking Tours, 1 Toonie is directed to a local charity (A Toonie is a Canadian $2 coin and an iconic symbol of Canada).  Your generosity helps us, and our city.

The Vancouver Toonie Tours team has collectively been on over 50 Free Walking Tours in cities around the globe.  We designed our All Canadian Free Walking Tour after our experiences in an effort to give you one of the best Free Walking Tour experiences under the sun.

Meet the Toonie Tours Trio and our fantastic team of expert local guides below.
We are thrilled to meet you in person on a Vancouver Toonie Tour!

“Next to trying and winning,
the best thing is trying and failing.”

– L.M. Montgomery
Writer, Canadian

…a high energy entrepreneur who loves teaching, travelling, and acting. After performing for an audience, giving tours is his all time passion.

After two extensive journey’s in Europe Josh found his love for travel and tourism. He found that his impressions of the cities he visited, often depended on the people he experienced the city with. This sparked the interest of sharing Vancouver with others. He wants you to love Vancouver, and with his work experience being mainly in performing, he feels he is just the guy to do that.

Joshua has been acting since growing up in small town Kitimat, BC. He took his talents to Calgary upon graduating high school to study Theatre at Mount Royal University. Since graduating he has worked with many theatre and film companies including: Shakespeare in the Park (Double Falsehood, Much Ado About Nothing, Othello), The Shakespeare Company (Macbeth), Nocturnal Studios (Blood Mountain), The CW (The 100), NBC (Timeless), and Blinds Eye Entertainment (Daughter of the Wolf).

…from the Rocky Mountain Town of Jasper, Alberta.  Logan’s parents raised him to value community, nature, & physical activity, and he is ecstatic to have the opportunity to put those 3 principles into practice through Vancouver Toonie Tours.

The previous decade of Logan’s life was spent obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the U of A and subsequently utilizing that Degree in Edmonton and Vancouver.

Through studying and working as an Engineer, Logan gained invaluable insight into what it takes to be successful as a person, teammate, and company, and those insights gave him the confidence to embark on a pursuit of his own passion.

Last Fall Logan went on a hiatus from the Engineering World and began exploring.  A trip to Europe with his fellow Co-founders sparked a passion for history & tourism, and culminated with the founding of a company that enables him to share that spark & the home he loves with the world.

…the entrepreneur by day, drummer by night. Natte has been fortunate to take opportunities throughout his 20’s to see the world and find out what’s really important to him. With 22 countries under his belt on 4 continents he feels blessed to always return to his home in Vancouver Canada.

Natte started his professional career at the age of 20 as a graduate from SAIT Polytechnics Power Engineering Program. He then started what would be 7 years of hard work building his portfolio while supplying efficient, reliable and environmentally prudent energy to his community, nation and the world. In 2017, Natte had reached the goals he had set, enabling him to leave the energy industry to pursue other passions with more dedication. That year, Natte formed two bands, The Carbons and Right on Red, one of which recorded an LP and started planning for a 2018 Canadian Tour.

After many great adventures with VTT’s cofounders Logan and Josh, the trio dreamed big for an opportunity to use their performance, entrepreneurial and social skills in a way that allows them to be outside, make new friends and give back to their community every day. Natte is thrilled to be your guide and share his favourite parts of the city.

Come take a tour and ask him about where you can see him next on the big stage.

is a local writer, actor and improvisor; her jam is sharing a story in any and every forum possible. She is originally from Australia but I fell in love with Vancouver and Canada so much that she couldn’t not be a part of its future. After six years landed, all the rain in the world wouldn’t be enough to send her packing from this beautiful place.
She is the youngest in a family of 6 so she has had a lifetime of vocal training, on top of this she’s also had various kinds of technical training.

“Granville Island 🙂 I like having access to local artists who are always happy to chat about their work.  Yummy food, donuts and coffee don’t hurt either AND it is where I buy my all time favourite brand of maple syrup.  No one cans it like they can it in Quebec.”

“Gab, please send me
your favourite quote”

– Logan Ireland
Tour Guide, Canadian

…a Vancouver resident as well as a PROUD Canadian.  She is a first year Acting student at the University of British-Columbia as well as an actor for the Characters agency.  She is fluent in French and English and is certified as bilingual by the International Baccalaureate Diploma. On top of being bilingual, Gab is also very comfortable in Spanish and can hold a basic conversation in Italian!

Gab has been in the acting industry since she thirteen and her most recent work is in iZombie and this year she booked a main role on a up-coming local web series. Throughout her years of being a professional actor, she has also had the opportunity to work on poetry recitation and competed on a national level for a national poetry recitation completion called, “Poetry in Voice / Les Voix de la Poésie” and won 1st place in 2017.

During her free time, Gab loves to work on monologues and her story telling skills. Every month, she films a monologue of the month with her fabulous acting coach Joshua Murdoch. Thanks to her hard work and dedication to her craft, she was invited by a producer to perform and compete at the annual “Monologue Slam” competition in 2019.

Having gone to a full French school, that also promoted the English culture, she had the opportunity to learn about our Canadian history through the lenses of the anglophones as well as the francophones. Doing so, made her understand both cultures and where they stand culturally as well as historically.  She was also fortunate enough to have an excellent history teacher who sparked a passion in her for history. One of her history curriculum requirements  in school is to learn about our Canadian history and the impacts on the Indigenous people throughout the colonization of our country. This was not only her favourite class but she also scored the highest grade amongst her peers during the final exam.

Come chat with Gab on a Toonie Tour, in whatever language you prefer!

Gab took all the new recruits the Toonie Tours founders to the secret spot at UBC in between Wreck Beach and The Museum of Anthropology.  The views were absolutely stunning.

See spots like this on a Private Tour!  We take you beyond all the usual places for a one-of-a-kind, truly unique Vancouver experience!

Logan, Joshua, & Nathan

We are three best friends who love Vancouver, love Canada, and love sharing our home with you.
We are bursting with pride for our city, our country, & our tours. We are excited to show you why.

Logs, Josh, & Natte

We work here, we play here!

When we’re done guiding tours, you can catch us on-top of the Grouse Grind (pictured right), floating in Cat-lake, biking the seawall, playing hockey, eating fantastic Vancouver cuisine, sipping a cheeky-pint at a local brewery, and spending quality time with family and friends.
